It’s Christmas time and I love to watch the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. I am currently watching the Christmas Cookie Challenge.

One of my favorite baking shows over the years has been Cake Boss on TLC. It got me thinking about the time I went to Carlo’s Bakery in Vegas. Buddy Valastro is in my prayers right now because of his recent accident involving the nerve endings in his hand. I read that he fears that he might never be able to design cakes again.

I love his quote, “I am taking it day by day, cake by cake.”

Sometimes when we are faced with a life-changing obstacle it is difficult to maintain a positive attitude, but sometimes adjustments can be made and positive things that we never thought would happen can happen.
